The Christmas Experience
December 1, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Our Children’s Ministry is hosting three family-oriented events on December 1st. Everyone is invited to join, but you need to register for each event separately. Links to register are in the descriptions below.
The Manger Project is a fun and interactive Christmas tradition that helps families focus on the true meaning of Christmas while building a manger. This event gives parents a chance to teach their kids hard work, perseverance and most importantly, why the manger (God coming to earth as a baby) is so important to their faith.
Bring your hammer and your kids, and let your heart be captured by the wonder of the lowly manger.
If you can’t make it to church on December 1, you can still purchase the kit and work on the manger at home. This can easily become your kids’ favorite Christmas tradition. This is the only portion of the event that costs ($15) for the supplies needed. You can purchase 1 or 2.
The Bridge in Fremont is welcoming donations (that can be placed in a manger) and will be given to those in need during the holiday season. There will be more info on what items are needed soon. Build one to donate and one to keep if you wish! #REACHOUT
Gingerbread Creations is a chance for families to slow down amidst the holiday frenzy and enjoy meaningful moments with their children while working on cookie and candy structures. Your hands will be messy, but your hearts will be merry!
Hot drinks and cookies will be available throughout the evening.
Christmas Cookie Contest is a friendly competition between families. Can you bake a cookie that will wow our judges and win the Ultimate Christmas Cookie Award? Check out the rules at the manger booth.
