Growing Young Campaign

The Growing Young Campaign has two goals. The first and primary goal is that we would grow spiritually and would increase our commitment to the mission of Christ. The second goal is for us to update our building and to purchase homes for property development. Our building needs to reflect our commitment to the next generation.

See how God is at work in students' lives and our school in this video.

In this video, several of our church elders address the Growing Young campaign and what it means for the future.

We had a lot of fun over the course of the campaign. Catch all the highlights - from our photo booth and pancake feed to Joey Spellerberg's testimony - in this video.

The Growing Young campaign is focused on making disciples of the next generation. We are committed to the next generation and want to reach out to them with the transforming love of God.

Here are some stats:

•Only 2 in 10 Americans under 30 believe attending a church is important or worthwhile (an all-time low).

•59% of the younger generation (age 15-30) raised in church have dropped out.

•35% of the younger generation have an anti-church stance, believing the church does more harm than good.

•The younger generation is the least likely age group of anyone to attend church (by far).

As you can see, we have a large challenge before us. David was focused on the next generation when he wrote, “Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.” (Psalm 145:3-4) David instructs the older generation to tell the younger generation about the greatness and majesty of God Almighty.

This dream is becoming a reality in our church. We have a growing young family ministry as well as a dynamic children and student ministry. Our Kids’ Connect, AWANA, VBS, Fall Festival, Rally, Club 56, and Student Ministry are healthy and making an impact.

The Growing Young Campaign has two goals. The first and primary goal is that we would grow spiritually and would increase our commitment to the mission of Christ. The second goal is for us to update our building and to purchase homes for future property development. Our building needs to reflect our commitment to the next generation.

A vision this size, will take all of us praying and working together. Over the next three years, it is our dream to raise $600,000 ($350,000 for renovation and $250,000 for property development).

I am asking you to support and participate in the Growing Young Campaign. I believe this campaign will be a defining moment in the life of our church and will help us move forward into the future. I want to see our church thriving in the coming years and decades and I believe with God’s help and the generous giving of God’s people, this can happen. May God get all the glory!

In Christ,

Pastor Tom
