We reach out to our community and the world beyond . . .

● by sharing the good news of the life-changing love of Jesus. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. -- Matthew 9:37-38

● by meeting physical, emotional and spiritual needs, near and far. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. -- 1 Corinthians 10:24

● by praying for our community and the world. First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. -- 1 Timothy 2:1-2

● by meeting people where they are. Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” 8 (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a]) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” -- John 4: 4-10

● by caring for and loving all young people. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” -- Matthew 19:14

● by caring for and loving all the diverse people of our community. What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. -- Romans 3:9

● by building genuine friendships. A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity. -- Proverbs 17:17

● by being good neighbors. Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. -- Matthew 22: 37-3

● by communicating how God sees the world and its people. The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. -- Acts 17: 24-25

● by bringing God’s light into the world. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. -- Ephesians 5:8

● by sending and supporting those who share the love of Christ to the ends of the earth. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. -- Acts 1:8
