REACH UP.

We reach up to God . . .

● by worshiping Him. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. -- Psalm 29:2

● by praising Him. I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. -- Psalm 34:1

● by praying and fasting. Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. -- Acts 13:3

● by singing for Him. Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! -- Psalm 100:2

● through the celebration of communion in remembrance of Jesus. For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for[a] you. Do this in remembrance of me.”[b In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
-- 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26

● by meditating with Him and His Word. I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. -- Psalm 119:15

● for our salvation. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” -- Acts 4:12

● for the enlightenment of the scriptures. Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything. -- 2 Timothy 2:7

● for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing. -- Luke 9:11

● by receiving the Holy Spirit. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. -- Acts 1:8

● by receiving His Love. See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
-- I John 3:1

● by receiving His wisdom. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
-- James 1:5

● by receiving spiritual gifts for service. Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. -- 1 Corinthians 14:1

● by seeing and loving the people of the world as God does. For God so loved the world,[a] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. -- John 3:16

● by becoming Christ-like as individuals and together as a body. Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. -- Ephesians 4:13

● by following Him and His Word. Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. -- Ephesians 5:2

● as our provider. As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. -- 1 Timothy 6:17

● as our defender. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. -- Psalm 18:2

● as our counsellor. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. -- John 14:26

● as our coming king. Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. -- 1 Thessalonians 5:13

● by giving thanks. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:16
